Old books

Traci took me to an old/used bookstore near my house the other day where everything is around $0.50. Pretty exciting. I got the book of poems simply because the cover is so beautiful.

And then I found a quilt book published in 1970. I love how playful they are.

What lovely designs in the book! I took a book arts course once and that really got me to appreciate all the work and vision that goes into artists books. They're a real treat =)

What a funny coincidence! Instead of reading CoD, I played hooky and picked up a book that included some of William Blake's poems. Check your book to see if it includes the original text of "Little Lamb Who Made Thee?" for me, please! :)

Btw, I'm so HAPPY to hear that you're enjoying "Safely Home". It truly was a life-changing, life course-altering book for me . . . and John Ortberg's podcasts have been my sole sustenance for the past 2 years. (Can you tell I ask D to keep me on the up-and-up on the FG comings and goings?) :)

Blake's art was also spectacular, check it out!
