Bonjour friends, we are in Paris! We're here for a few weeks and are really enjoying ourselves so far. Paris really does not disappoint. This is our second time here, though this time we're here for longer and have two little ones in tow. It took us nearly a week to get over jetlag and settle in, and we've been taking it slow for the most part. We're probably out and about for no more than a couple of hours a day due to naps, the cold, and just tiredness from lugging the boys around. We also eat in most of the time because it's just easier. We're staying in an apartment in the lively Rue Montorgueil area and love that everything we need is just steps away. We also can't get enough of all the amazing bakeries right on our street and have been eating a lot of pastries and baguettes with butter (why is the butter here so much better?). It's great not feeling rushed in trying to squeeze in a bunch of touristy activities and be able to just enjoy life here. Above are a few snapshots from my Instagram feed, follow along @dozidesign if you'd like!

lucky you!I was born in paris but moved to the countryside whenI was 28.(now 42)I would never live there again but whenever i come back,I truly feel like home...rue montorgueuil is such a nice place to stay...have a wonderful time!(mars on my dozi calendar is so cute)
emma - wow! yes, we've loved our stay but my husband is especially craving space and clean air. it would be wonderful to live in the French countryside! glad you're enjoying your calendar :)
space and clean air.and cheerful pepole too...parisians are definitely too grumpy!we have all this now in dordogne...but SF seems such a place to go too.could have come a few months ago with my work but unfortenately, things turn out differently.maybe some other time...
My advice if you are still in the Montorgueil area, have a lunch at the restaurant "Dédé la frite". The french fries are delicious as well as their salted pies! Also, visit the shop "la Droguerie" (rue du jour), as nice place for the ones who love creation. Have fun!
Madame Cha - thank you for your recommendations! We're always looking to try a new place, especially ones that are casual enough for kids :) Will definitely try to check out la Droguerie as well!
