Rusted root

It feels so good to finish a project. I started this over a year ago and it's finally done - my first piece of knitted clothing for myself.

The construction is really neat because it's knit in *one* piece from the top down on circulars. This means no seaming at all, which was super nice for lazy me. (By the way, I really like that knitting is so portable. Much of my knitting these days is done in airports or airplanes.)

Okay, here's the knitty-gritty (haha):

Pattern: Rusted Root from Zephyr Style
Yarn: Rowan Cashsoft DK (4 balls + some)
Needles: US4 and US6 Addi Turbo circulars
Started: too long ago
Finished: Feb '08

I love this sweater--and I've never been remotely interested in knitting. Maybe it's worth a try after all!

Thanks so much for your lovely message. I'm very excited...as well as feeling a little nervous and anxious...but mostly excited!! We'll see how the journey goes from here :)
