Lena's new book

I've been reading Lena Corwin's blog for some time now and my appreciation for her style and designs has grown immensely. She uses color freely but keeps it simple and delicate. I like that.

I'm sure most of you have heard of her new book, Printing by Hand. I just received it today and cannot be more excited. I know, it wasn't too long ago that I got Lotta's printing book, but this one has more detailed information and instructions. And of course, both are full of inspiring photos and you just can't have too much of that from your favorite designers!

I've been itching to start printing on fabrics, but it seems to require so much preparation (as well as tools and materials), that I know it's going to take me awhile to get started. One of those things (again) where I need to just do it instead of waiting for everything to be perfect.

All this talk of printing! At the moment I'll need to add it to my wish list as I have no spare time to start yet another project, but excited to see what you come up with :)

Nice job on your bag Wendy! I've just made a couple totes but I've never used a bag pattern...maybe I should invest in one so I can expand my bag designs!
