I've been using a small J.Crew shopping bag to bring my lunch to work everyday, and finally decided that it was time for me to make myself a real lunch tote. I saw some really cute placemats and napkins on clearance at Nordstrom Rack awhile back and bought them thinking I could make them into something *some* day. Yes, one of those purchases.
I wish I had more green fabrics for the lining.. this was pretty much the only one that seemed to work.
I thought it would be stiff enough since the placemat is a cotton canvas weight, but it's still a little too floppy. If I were to make something like this again, I would probably use some interfacing.
