I went to the Alameda flea this weekend and got an eyeful. The place is huuuuge, filled with all sorts of vintage goodness. We managed to walk through most of it - here are some things that caught my eye.
I ended up buying these vintage textiles, which the seller said she got from Germany. She had a lot of gorgeous prints to rummage through, all fairly large pieces. Many looked like they were drapery at one point. I absolutely love these two pieces, and am so excited for all the things I can possibly make with them!

Love the fabric! One of my life's dreams is to go to the Alameda Flea!! hah I'm on the East Coast and joke with my husband that we will buy one way tickets there since we'll have to rent a truck to bring back everything I'll buy! :) hah Glad you had fun!
I haven't been to the flea market in a long time. I've been thinking of going. Now I'm thinking of going to the Alameda Flea. I love your fabric finds.
love the fabrics! the red one is especially fun. :) those keys are cool too - I wonder what kinds of things they were originally for...

GASP! I love the skeleton keys! Oh, how I wish I was there!!
Love those spools of thread...
isnt the alameda flea market fun? my coolest textile find there (around 4 years ago) was this massive piece of tapa cloth from tonga that i got for 40 smackaroos. i love the fabric piece on the right (of course!), it looks like something seen on a 1960's-70's sarong. :) if only alameda was tad closer, and warmer...
