I celebrated my 34th birthday this past month and received some great gifts - the Moop Porter bag (with my big 32-week bump), and an Orla Kiely wallet. Thanks friends - you know who you are! The last photo shows a couple of little linen bags I made for some special girls. Working on them made me wish I was better about giving more handmade gifts.

This was a full month for us - a weekend in Monterey and a week in Hawaii (will share pictures soon!). And now there's only 2 more months before the baby comes!

Some recent Instagram photos from this past weekend. Irving had Friday off so we headed up to San Francisco for some shopping and good eats, but other than that we've just been taking it easy. I started cleaning up my studio a bit too and came across my supplies for making mini clips (first photo), so I've been working on that as well. It's perfect for multi-tasking while watching a little TV.

Just a few photos from the last couple of weeks. I went to the Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco and bought a little penguin ornament and some new everyday studs along with a few other things I didn't get to photograph. We had a family gathering the week before so Christmas weekend was fairly quiet which was nice. My brother's family stayed over so we opened gifts together Christmas morning. Oscar actually got tired of opening gifts and refused to open any more about halfway through and just wanted to play with his new toys. We did go up to the city again with my in-laws on Christmas day and walked around Union Square. Oscar went on his first cable car ride and loved it.

I'm 27 weeks along now and am feeling like time is flying by. Just 3 more months 'til our lives are changed again.

ellie fun day

A very talented friend of mine Sarah recently co-founded Ellie Fun Day, an organization that designs luxurious organic baby blankets that provide a living for marginalized women in India. I'm so amazed by what her and her husband have done so far. It takes so much courage and heart to do what they're doing.

I've also been entering some of the recent design challenges on Minted. I honestly think they have some of the best photo cards out there, and have been inspired and stretched by all the talented designers in the Minted community. thanksgiving weekend

This past weekend we headed up to San Francisco with Traci and her family to take family photos for each other. The weather was perfect, and Traci and her husband Herman got some really great shots. The first two photos above are a just a couple of our favorites from the shoot.



We also celebrated Oscar's 2nd birthday with family this weekend - just a cozy dinner with cake, balloons, and gifts afterwards. I love that he understands more now and seemed to really enjoy things like blowing out his candles and ripping open his presents.

uesugi farms

We went with my brother's family to Uesugi Farms this past weekend. The weather was a sunny 80 degrees - oddly warm, especially considering the snow storms hitting the East. Oscar got to enjoy his first carousel ride, and was as usual very quiet and somber at first, as he often is with new experiences. I'm so glad to be living near family, and love that Oscar gets to grow up with his cousins.

Oh, and since we're on the topic of family - we're expecting! I'm about 18 weeks now, and will be finding out the sex this week. Can't wait.
