meet ian

ian is here ian and irving ian and oscar Well, look who made an early appearance! Ian arrived last Thursday at 9:44pm, 11 days before his due date. Everything happened so fast - contractions started just after 8pm, and we got to the hospital at 9:20pm. I guess someone was in a hurry to come out! All is well - we're all home and healthy and feeling very blessed. Oscar has been a sweet big brother, but sometimes he is a little sad when my arms aren't available. I'm still so amazed by the whole thing -- pregnancy, birth, and now a new life. How he is so fragile yet perfect, and how our lives are now changed forever. The shop will be closed for awhile, but hopefully not too long!

    What precious captures of these first fleeting days, and in such lovely, filtered light! How very beautiful to see all of your little men together!

    So grateful for his safe arrival, and just at the perfect time! I will never look at Donut Wheel the same! ;) Congratulations again on such a beautiful little soul!

    W.O.W. that was a fast labor/delivery! i've heard the 2nd is faster! big congratulations! and oscar and ian are so cute together... i have a feeling noah will be super sad at times too when i am busy. but i know it will get better! congrats again!

    aww, love the pic with Oscar!! can't wait to see Ian in real life. I came down with a cough this week, but hopefully it'll clear up soon and I can come snuggle the little guy! and Oscar too, if he'll allow it... haha.

    there really are no words to describe it -- your boys are just so beautiful!!! we are soooo happy for you guys! and wow, that is some super fast labor wen. if you have a third, irving may want to invest in a catcher's mitt.
