This past weekend I went to the Alameda Flea with my treasure-hunting buddy, Traci. I saw these old books and loved the beautiful patterns on the covers. I love the contrasting labels too - so perfect.

ReplyDeleteHello Wendy,
ReplyDeleteI stumbled your blog a long while ago but just today I found the time to really go through your wonderful and lovely posts! When I saw the picture of your Flea market finds I smiled because you found old versions of a still existing book series which is very well known to us (in Germany). The editing house is called "Insel Verlag" (Suhrkamp) (which by the way means Insel = island) and they have this series where each book is covered in such a lovely design (I too love them ;-). I searched through their website and found a collection of ALL books which have been published: http://www.suhrkamp.de/alle_titel_der_reihe_132.html. I hope, you enjoy!
Have a wonderful week,
Yours, Theresa
