Homes in Japan

Lately I've been looking for inspiration to furnish and decorate our new place. I keep gravitating towards the images in a book I got from Kinokuniya awhile back. I have no idea what the title is, but it's basically filled with Japanese home tours. I love how simple, functional, and organic these homes look. More and more I'm appreciating decor that doesn't just look pretty, but is real and reflects everyday life.

    they soothe the eye so much! simple, and earthy..love them..and love what you said abt appreciating decor that reflects day-to-day life and not jut sits pretty

    Yes, I do love Japanese homes, too. I miss the tatami bedroom we had when we lived there. And you're right--the key is keeping things simple and organic--so peaceful!
